Delicious City Prints: Typographic Posters for the Urban Foodie

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (July 17, 2012) – Roni Lagin, an Independent Creative Director, has created a deliciously wonderful typographic poster series of appetizing memories from some of the most celebrated culinary U.S. cities and two gastronomic capitals in Europe.

The Delicious City Prints project is being launched through the ever growing crowd-funding platform Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ronilagin/delicious-city-prints), with the campaign running through August 15, 2012 (9:03pm EST). The gastro theme of each of the city’s prints come from succulent foods and recipes that spring from their one-of-a-kind culture and region and particularly from Roni’s personal experience.

Each design will be hand screen printed on heavyweight French Paper, with each city having its own specific—and vibrant—color palette. They are signed, numbered and dated on the back, and available in two sizes: 18×24” or 11×14”.

“Whenever I visit a new city, I can’t wait to learn what defines it from a food perspective. I always search for regional fare and eat what locals eat—like a Chicago hot dog,” Roni said. “My series Delicious City Prints project is a celebration of the food memories I have, along with a nod to some new cities I’m looking forward to eating in some day.”

The cities featured in Delicious City Prints include: Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, New Orleans, Paris, and London. After feedback through the Kickstarter, readers made suggestions on what made their city yummy in a list of 7 to 10 foods that best celebrated that deliciousness. Seattle, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles were added to the project as a result. After reaching the Kickstarter goal, Roni also added three additional cities; Washington DC, Charleston and Buffalo.

Roni is aiming to raise a minimum of $4,000 for the Delicious City Prints project to become a fully funded reality. There are many ways to become a backer of the Delicious City Prints project with pledges from $1 to $500. All pledges will also receive iPhone and iPad wallpaper of ALL the cities in the project.
